100 Candles

Today would have been my Grandma S.'s 100th birthday.

I don't remember the exact circumstances but I remember it was snowing pretty good and not everyone could make it to my grandma's 95th birthday party five years ago.  I know my mom didn't go and my cousin John and I were the only cousins to make it.  Every birthday is important, especially at that age, so I'm very glad that I was able to attend her last birthday party. She would pass away less than 5 months later on July 10, 2008.

Dennis, Pat, John, Kris, Jim, Michael...aren't you so glad that you were able to celebrate this day with her?

Happy 100th birthday grandma!  I hope you, grandpa and my dad are eating cake together today!

Thank you to Kris for all the pictures you took that day.

Oh Dana, this one made me cry! I so wish I could have met Grandma Sterner! John and I just realized she passed away exactly 1 year (to the day) before we met. Thanks for sharing. XOXO
