The Heavy

Chris, Tanya and myself went to see a band named The Heavy on Thursday, July 1st at the Fine Line Music Cafe. You may not recognize the band by their name, but I guarantee that you've heard one of their songs. There's a car commercial that was played in the winter but got super popular when it was played as one of the Super Bowl commercials.

The Heavy performed on David Letterman in January 2010 and David Letterman liked them so much that he had them do an encore, which is the first time David Letterman has ever asked any band on his show to play again.

The Heavy played to a sold-out show at the Fine Line and while we were in the mezzanine, we still had a great view of the show. I just wish the pictures would have been better. It was too dark upstairs and too dark on the stage to get any good ones. The Heavy has songs that have many different genres which keeps their music interesting and shows each of their influences.
