Cherrie Jones Tailgate Party this Sunday

Calling all Vikings fans! The 2nd annual Cherrie Jones Tailgate Party will be taking place this Sunday, November 15th. There are multiple reasons why you should come out and see us:

• We are really fun people to hang out with
• It's going to be a party!
• Favre will start for the 300th consecutive time!
• Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen and Percy Harvin
• You'll probably see a Vikings win
• It's in honor of Cherrie!

We are approaching 100 confirmed people for the tailgate party so come and join the fun. Michael's sister, Cherrie Jones attended her last Vikings game in December 2007 and we have a party in her honor every year for the Detroit game. Tickets are still available for the game and the best place to get them for cheap would be Stub Hub.

Hi People!

Here is the info that you need to know about the

2nd Annual Cherrie Jones Tailgate Party

Meeting time:

We will be meeting at my house between 6:45-7am.

I understand that this is very early, especially on a Sunday morning, but we need to leave my house at 7:20 SHARP in order to reserve our parking space.

When you arrive at my house, we will then consolidate and carpool.

This is not mandatory so you do not need to do this but I know that some people would like to tip a few and not have to drive and this would not only help the situation, but also help save on parking costs. Please note that you may be asked to drive if you come to my house. If you are planning on coming to my house first, please let me know soon so we can coordinate the parking and transportation of all vehicles as well as look for you the day of.

Parking:

Parking will consist of two options;

Option #1 - Park in the official Cherrie Jones Tailgate Party Lot

I encourage all to do this so that we have plenty of room to party. If we do not have many people that choose to do this, we will not have enough room for all of us as we cannot stay contained to just a couple of parking spots.

This lot is located on the corner of Chicago Avenue and 3^rd Street South, just 1 block from the dome. Please see attached map and please note that 3^rd street is a one-way going west and you cannot turn into the lot from Chicago Avenue.

The cost is $45 a vehicle so if you carpool and everyone pitches in, this will save you all some money.

This is the cheapest lot around the Dome.

For those of you that do not live close to me and would rather meet us out there, that is also fine however, if you are not there by 8am, you may miss out on parking your car with our group because spots can fill up very quickly.

Option #2 - Park at a meter located near our lot

You will need about $8 in quarters. There are 4-hour meters and 8-hour meters so please make sure that you choose the correct meter. The price is $1 per hour and meters ARE enforced on Sundays.

What to bring:

I am asking everyone to bring something to share; A pack of hot dogs, a bag of chips, soda, a dessert, a pasta salad, etc.---We don’t want 100 bags of chips and nothing else so be a little creative with what you share. You don’t have to go all out, just bring a reasonable amount of something. If everyone contributes, we will have plenty of food for everyone.

Halloween Clearance:

Go out to a store and find that clearance Halloween purple wig, hat, mask, make-up, etc and come in your full gear to get into the Vikings team spirit but most importantly….

DRESS WARM!

To see Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre on the same team is quite the historic event, and it should be fun watching them DESTROY the Detroit Lions. So grab all of your purple clothes, make-up, and anything else that is purple and get ready to have a BLAST at the 2ND ANNUAL CHERRIE JONES TAILGATE PARTY!!
