I've been missing!  Work has taken a hold of me during and after work hours.  I've been crazy busy and stressed this week in particular but I wanted to peek in and say hi and hopefully I'll have more to share about my work life and what's been going on after next week.

Blog Layout/Polls

If you've been to my blog in the last couple of weeks, the layout, backgrounds, fonts, colors, etc have been ever-changing.  I've had some issues with the HTML code on my blog where it will show just a blank background and for the life of me could not figure it out.  Then one day it would fixed and then a few days later, it's broken again.  The culprit?  Feedback Fridays.  The HTML code for the polls I've been doing on Fridays is formatted poorly, per the nice person referred to as T E D on the Blogger forum.  If I have a poll on the current page, it formats it incorrectly.  If the poll is not listed on the list page of posts, then it's formatted correctly.  The best cure for me?  Stop doing Feedback Fridays or stop using the website I have been to generate the polls.  I'm choosing the former and I will not be continuing with Feedback Fridays.  My blog again is in a temporary state of a quick background and no banner so I'll be busy coming up with a new theme sometime soon.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mine could have been better, that's for sure.

The building that M works in is on a small pond and this weekend, the geese had babies. They are so cute and fuzzy. Here are some pictures that one of M's coworkers took of them. They don't stay small and yellow long before they turn gray and ackward looking and then again turning into a beautiful goose.

Cats

I fed my friend's cats while she was on vacation.  I of course had to take pictures of them so I thought I would share with you.  They are both girls and their names are Dolce and Gabbana. Enjoy!

My computer is.....FIXED!

So last week I told you that my computer didn't work anymore after the power went out and had a surge once the power went back on. I took a chance that it was just the power supply and nothing more serious. I ordered a new power supply on Ebay and it finally arrived today. Michael and I installed it and voila!, my computer works and my hard drive and everything else is in tact. I was so scared that I lost all my music and pictures. The PS/2 inputs in the back of the computer for the keyboard and mouse no longer work so tonight I had to buy a new keyboard and mouse that have USB ports but if that's all it is, I am glad to spend the money to do so. I'm back up and running so I will be putting up catch up posts shortly.

Michael's Job

Michael finally started his new job on Monday. He was supposed to start a week ago but had to postpone his start date due to the visitation and funeral. He was laid off from Restore Medical on July 18th, after being acquired by Medtronic. His new place of employment, Minnetronix, is a medical device and design manufacturing company. He is a quality assurance technician. Michael likes working for medical companies as he feels he is giving back by helping people's lives and the advancement of their health. He just started but he really seems to like it there so far. They seem to treat their employees very well. Michael even saw 3 pictures of me on their intranet! We went with his friend, Efren, to the Saints game back in July with Minnetronix so they posted some pictures from that event on their site. I took Michael out last night to celebrate for dinner at Mansetti's in Shoreview.

B-I-N-G-O!

The insurance department at my work had a half-day on Friday. We left work to go play Bingo. I have never played Bingo in a real bingo hall. I have wanted to go play for a couple of years but really haven't anyone to go with. I had such a good time. We got to play for little over 2 hours. I didn't win but there were 3 winners within our group that did win. We also other ways to win gift cards. We were each assigned a ball. For example, I was G47. If G47 was called, I would get my name entered into a drawing. We could also enter our name if we were one off from getting bingo. I ended up winning a Major's gift card. I had so much fun that I want to go play again really soon. My sister is back in town now so I told her that she has to come play with me before she leaves.

A week ago when we were all out at Tony Jaro's, I gave a toast with our greenies to Michael. He was laid off last Friday. His former company, Restore Medical was bought out by the big giant Medtronic. We toasted to a better job to come in the future. Fast foward 1 week. We went over to Chris and Tanya's house with some drinks. We brought Champagne to toast to Michael's new job! Yep, he was offered a job at Minnetronix and will accept this position next week. Congratulations, Michael! I'm very proud of you and your accomplishments.

Hi Everyone! I decided to "go live" with my blog today, Tuesday, July 1st and I am very nervous to do so. I have been blogging for the past few weeks to make sure this is something I really wanted to do and there is no time like the present to introduce you to it. My aunt Pat and uncle Dennis just got a new puppy. He is a Daschund that was born on May 3rd that they named Schroeder. Isn't he cute?

I've wanted to do this for a long time

I signed up on blogger with good intentions of starting a blog back in August 2005. I started a page and that was the end of it. I feel like now I am finally ready to start a blog of my everyday life and keep it updated. This will be a good way for me to document my life with our current technology. I hope you find my life interesting.
